February is flying by

Do you believe it is the 25th of February 2009. It seems like only yesterday the year was just beginning. I am wanting to share a few things with you that I have read. First is from a book by John Ortberg called "When the game is over, it all goes back in the box." He says, "When my son John was very small, he loved to play with machines and gadgets by the hour. One day when he was 3, he had been working with a tape recording for an hour or so. Finally, he looked at his mom and said, "Mom, you know what the trouble with life is?" "No, I don't. What's the trouble with life?" Then a 3 year old boy sitting on the floor, who had thoroughly reflected on both Fisher-Price technology and the condition of human existence, made one of the most profound observations of life that I have ever heard: "The trouble with life," he said, "is that it doesn't have a rewind button."
That had stuck with me for the past 3 weeks since I read, it. My prayer for myself is that I don't act in a way that would cause me to wish I could rewind. I hope that all I do and say is for God's glory and points to Jesus not me.
The second thing I read in a devotion a few days ago and it says. Dr. M. R. De Haan, founder of RBC Ministries, kept a motto in his office; "Perhaps Today." When we make our daily plans, are we aware that Christ may return? ARe we prepared to meet Him? Matthew 24:44 says to be ready for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. IF Christ comes today, will you be ready to meet Him? Perhaps Today

February is half over already

I just don't know where the time is going. It seems like just yesterday we were sitting in the house wishing it was not so cold so we could see the New Year's Eve fireworks. I can't believe it is already February 18th. I have been busy scrapbooking at The Scrapping Garden.
This month I worked with Kakliedesigns lovely kit called Soft Fancy Fleurons.
Here are the LO's I did using this kit. One is a scraplift, and one is using a template for a challenge at pickleberrypop.

One month down can you believe it

I can't believe January is over. It has been one wild ride here in Alaska. We started out the year with 10 days of frigid cold weather. It was in the double digits below the whole 10 days. Then all of a sudden we got what is known as the Pineapple Express and for a whole week it never got below 40 degrees. Yes that's right 40's in January in Alaska. Now it is back to snow and a volcano eruption watch. Like I said, one wild ride.

I have been busy scrapping and want to share a few LO's and also my color challenge freebie. I am privelaged to be on the CT team for The Scrapping Garden, Pat Hall, and Lise Lotte Sunesen. I love to scrapbook and really enjoy showing off the fine kits available. This month I used Kakleidesigns Love Dictionary and PDDesigns Oh Happy Day. I hear the fireworks but can't see them

it is 24 below 0 and I have not got the courage to go outside to see the fireworks. But I hope you all have a great new year and that God truly blesses you.

Do you believe it is the last day of the year?

Wow, I just can't believe it is the end of the year. So much has happened this year and it seems like it just flew by (well most of the time.) I have been very busy the last week with the Christmas distribution at the Salvation Army here in the Mat-Su valley. We helped over 500 families and individuals with food and toys. We had 13 angel tree locations that Paul took good care of and then Jessica, my mom, and myself would catalog the gifts in and bag them for the families they were to go to. Jessica of course had the 2 weeks of work since the head start is closed for Christmas and New Years just like the public schools, so she was a big help.

I have been very busy scrapbooking also and have really enjoyed the time I have been a CT at the Scrapping Garden. A few of my newer LO's are below. I also have again participated in the color challenge by making a mini kit. Look at the bottom of the preview for the download link. Hope you enjoy it. Well I guess I better get this finished and get to bed as it is 3:00 AM, but before I go I just want to tell you all that it is a whopping minus 15 outside. Thank the good Lord for heaters that work. The final month of the year

Just seems like yesterday the year was starting and now it is winding down. Today was bitter cold here and when I was leaving my church (the Salvation Army) tonight, my car would not start. It turned over, but just would not catch. I had a new fuel pump and filter put in the middle of October and it has not worked great since then. Will have to get it towed to the shop in the morning and see what is going on. I just can't believe all the problems. It started just fine at home earlier today, ran just fine, with no issues and yet tonight it just wouldn't. Oh bother, and to top it off, Paul called and said the hospital was slow so they were putting him on call. Now that means that instead of over $18.00 an hour he only gets $4.50 an hour. That really hurts the pocket book. But I know that God will provide, just hope the car does not take a bunch of money cause I don't have it. Well, since I have to spend tomorrow doing things that I had not planned on, I guess I better get some work done tonight. God Bless and remember "JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON", WITHOUT CHRIST THERE WOULD BE NO CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!
